About Kestävä
Kestävä is a Finnish company based in South America. Since 2019, its main objective is to promote cooperation and exchange of experiences and knowledge between public and private actors from Nordic countries, especially Finland, and South American countries.
Our mission is to create a network of international actors specialized in sustainability within the field of urban planning, construction, architecture and landscape design. We promote collaborative projects and provide solutions according to the needs of each project.
Kestäva participates in the design and advice for commercial projects as well as social development projects. We seek to improve people’s quality of life through the cultural exchange of knowledge between private companies and public institutions. Kaisa Baiardi, the founder of Kestävä, is a Finnish landscape architect who is actively involved in various land use and landscape planning projects in Finland and abroad.

We offer versatile design and research services that support sustainable urban development. Through our partners, we find the best international experts for projects of different scales.
Project management and coordination
Kestävä is responsible for forming work teams between international public and/or private actors. We gather the best team from different areas for each particular project and we manage the coordination from planning to its materialization with local and international professionals.
Our company also manages the organization of in-person and virtual events such as workshops, meetings and visits of international delegations. We work together with different actors and international organizations such as the Embassy of Finland, Business Finland, Ministry of Environment (FIN), Ministry of Housing and National Housing Agency ANV (URU), among others.
Research and Development
Kestävä collaborates with universities, research institutes and private companies. We participate in research projects in the field of architecture, construction and sustainable urban development in order to support the advancement of sustainable technologies.
Among our partners are Aalto University (Department of Architecture and Departments of Bioproducts and Biosystems) (FIN), the University of Tampere (Faculty of Built Environment) (FIN), the VTT Technical Research Center of Finland (FIN).
Landscape design and sustainable urbanism
Kestävä specializes in sustainable urban design and landscaping. Through our partners in Finland and Latin America, we participate in different projects providing design support and know-how.
Among our partners are Lunden Architecture Company (FIN), Tengbom (FIN), MAPA Arquitectos (URU), Enkel Group (URU) and Capital Oriental (URU).
